Responsible gambling
Gambling is for adults (18+, or older where the law says so). It is entertainment, not a way to make money.
Keep it a game
- Only bet money you can afford to lose. Set a budget and a time limit before you start.
- Don't chase losses. Don't bet when upset, stressed or after drinking.
- A probability is not a promise. Even a 70% outcome fails three times in ten.
Warning signs
- Betting more than you planned, or more to get the same excitement.
- Borrowing money or selling things to gamble.
- Hiding gambling from family or friends, or feeling anxious when you can't bet.
- Gambling affecting your work, studies, sleep or relationships.
